The Benefits
We are committed to investing up to £1.2 million into a fund set aside for projects to benefit the surrounding area.
This money will be available throughout the lifetime of the wind farm and local people will decide how it is spent.
We established a similar fund at Northamptonshire's first wind farm at Burton Wold, in Northamptonshire. So far the fund has paid for solar panels to be installed at a sheltered housing scheme in the town of Burton Latimer and has contributed £10,000 towards energy efficient renovations of the local Guide Hut. This not only uses a natural resource to heat the building but will also help cut long-term fuel bills.

The fund has also paid for children's books in the local library and there are plans to offer grants and interest-free loans enabling residents to undertake their own energy efficiency projects.
By registering you can tell us how your ideas for the Yelvertoft Wind Farm community benefit fund.
If planning permission is granted we always look to use local expertise and resources to carry out work associated with constructing the wind farm.
