Public support for wind farm revealed at exhibitions
Nearly three-quarters of visitors leaving comments at three exhibitions to showcase wind farm proposals were in favour of the project.
Your Energy held exhibitions in Crick, Yelvertoft and Lilbourne between Monday 1 September and Wednesday 3 September.
All visitors were encouraged to leave their comments as they left. Of those that expressed a definite view on the project, 73% said they supported Your Energy's proposals.
Charlotte Healey, Your Energy's Development Manager, said: "We are committed to consulting the community so are delighted that not only was there a healthy turnout but that such a high proportion of visitors want to see a wind farm between Yelvertoft and the M1.
"We were very happy to answer questions people had and it is always gratifying to discover that so many residents are in favour of generating electricity from the wind and combating climate change locally.
"Visitors also appreciated that we had listened to their concerns about the wind farm's visual impact and reduced the number of turbines from 12 to 8 as well as moving all remaining turbines at least 200 metres to the north of the bridleway on the site."
The information on display at the exhibitions is also now available to download.
