Decision Day - 25 November 2009
Wednesday 25 November, 6.15pm
Daventry District Council Chambers, Lodge Road, Daventry
The recommendation to the Planning Committee is to refuse the application, based on the impact of the wind turbines from Stanford Hall and its parks and gardens.
Richard Mardon, Managing Director of Your Energy said today:
"This project has ticked every single box except for one objection regarding a view from Stanford Hall. If this is the only reason to reject the project, then we feel that the balancing exercise between the impacts and benefits has not been done sufficiently."
He added "The Planning Officer has made his recommendation, but of course it is up to the Councillors to make the final decision. We hope that they can see that any perceived negative visual impact is temporary, and outweighed by the substantial renewable energy benefits."
