Wind Farm plans now available online
Full details of Your Energy Ltd's proposed Yelvertoft Wind Farm in the Daventry district are now available for download on the project's consultation website.
Visitors to www.yelvertoft-windfarm.co.uk can now view and download over 60 documents that comprise the planning application for the 8 turbine wind farm between Yelvertoft and the M1.
This includes computer generated images demonstrating how the wind farm would appear from 29 different viewpoints as well as detailed environmental studies.
An interactive map is also available on the site, giving visitors the chance to see precise turbine locations and see the planned construction transport route which avoids Yelvertoft, Lilbourne and Crick villages.
Yelvertoft Wind Farm will generate sufficient safe, clean, renewable electricity to meet the annual needs of between 9,100 and 9,600 homes - equivalent to approximately one-third of the whole of Daventry district.
Charlotte Healey, Development Manager for Yelvertoft Wind Farm, said: "Feedback from local consultation has shaped our project, and I'm delighted that people can now visit the project website and see exactly how we have listened and responded".
"We believe that this is an excellent site to fight climate change through generating significant quantities of much-needed renewable electricity."
The project website - www.yelvertoft-windfarm.co.uk - will continue to be updated throughout the application process. By registering on the site anyone interested can give further feedback and ask questions.
Councils are usually required to decide applications within four months so if Daventry District Council grants planning permission this summer, Yelvertoft Wind Farm could be generating much-needed renewable energy as soon as 2010.
