Environmental Impact Assessment
We have conducted a detailed Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) as part of our work to establish the suitability of this site for a wind farm.
The EIA is a rigorous, lengthy and comprehensive process drawing on experts in many fields including Ecology, Landscape, Noise, Aviation, Archaeology, Transportation and Construction.
These expert assessors evaluate the current environmental conditions at a proposed development. They determine how the proposed wind farm will affect the environment and whether the resultant changes in conditions are acceptable.
Assessors use best practice guidelines wherever such guidelines exist and call upon the numerous local, regional and central government policies in forming their evaluation.
The Environmental Statement is a very large document containing detailed and sometimes technical information. The Non-Technical Summary is a 18 page document summarising the whole application, and is generally a good place to start. There are four additional figures which accompany this document, which can be downloaded by clicking here.
If you have a question about our Environmental Statement contact us and we will get back to you.
