Consultation
At Your Energy, we are committed to giving the community every chance to comment on our plans.
When we announced our interest in the area in February 2008, we invited local residents to meet us and comment on our plans. We have maintained two-way communication at every stage to enable the community to help shape the final project.
Consultation opportunities to date have included:
- February 2008 - Public Exhibition, Yelvertoft Village Hall.
- April to September 2008 - Meetings held with representatives from Clay Coton, Crick, Lilbourne and Yelvertoft Parish Councils.
- June 2008 - Consultation letter and plan sent to 1,300 local residents. Feedback from this community consultation helped decide the final proposal.
- August 2008 - Newsletter to 1,300 local residents and invitation to second round of public exhibitions.
- September 2008 - Public exhibitions held at Crick, Yelvertoft and Lilbourne over three days to showcase the scheme and answer questions. Material on display is available to view and download (link to press release in news section).
- July 2009 - newsletter mailed to over 4,600 homes in the vicinity to ensure residents know about the final proposal, and how to ask questions and have their say.
Six visits to our wind farm in Burton Latimer were organised for residents and their representatives during 2008.
